Welcome to rainclan territory -
The territory of rainclan is in the middle of the thick Amazon jungle.
the camp is in the southwest of the forest in a rather small clearing that regularly is cleared of new brush by queens and elders. The cat's dens are rather scattered and mixed allowing cats to sleep in whatever arrangements they like, with acceptions to the medical clearing where all sick and injured are required to stay. This clearing is under the cover of ferns and has space for all the medicine class cats to sleep inside. The rain and their family also sleep in the tree hallow at the northern side of camp. This old worn-out tree is fully hallowed allowing a den in the bottom and a cat to climb up to the low hanging branches to stand for clan meetings. Another much larger live tree is just a few feet outside the camp and connected with the floating bridges of rainclan, this is the home of the tree talker. this fat tree hallow is covered in his strange collections and paintings.
The cats of rainclan have made heavy use of tree travel, it's generally safer and faster than pushing through the underbrush that grows back so quickly. They have use of several abandoned twoleg floating bridges across the canopy level and connected those too thick living vines from the trees around them. This network of floating trails weave throughout the trees of a majority of the southern forest.
The forest consists of three major sections. The far southwest tip is a thin strip of ocean beaches and small dotted twoleg settlements. The middle is lush rainforest and the home of rainclan. The northeast corner is separated by a massive set of cliffs, on top of which rests the legendary cloud forest. This cloud forest is so high in the air that clouds never leave its floor. It's always foggy and erie in the clouds. most cats avoid the place.
One of the reasons cats avoid the cloud cliffs and forest are because it is separated from the clan by the great river. A massive river that stretches long enough for even a twoleg ship to float through it. It's filled with caiman, otters and massive carnivorous fish and is far too dangerous to swim across. The river splits in several places to delta into the ocean far east of the rainclan camp. The far west of the great river spreads into a wide mangrove in wet leaf and the cats will often use this area for fishing. It is also said that the cloud cliffs hold a massive waterfall that connects to the great river called the clouds tears.
Finally, it is also said that there are many caves around the cliffs. Holes in the ground that lead to water and blackness. Certain death for any unfortunate enough to slip into the opening. very few are full into cool blue-green ponds.
