Clan Camps

New leaf:

in new leaf, the cats must move homes out of the gorge. when the sun is high and the ground starts to become damp it is time to move into the trees. the new leaf camp is on the valley floor above the gorge and a good distance away from the flood waters. it is made up of mainly trees and shrubbery.

the cats have a large dead oak tree that they have worked hard to use as a warriors den, using their claws to dig out areas to climb out onto the lower more stable branches and stand as lookouts over the camp. the leader sleeps alongside the warriors in the same den, finding no reason to separate himself from the others.

the elders live in a thicket set beside the hollow oak, nested in thick bushes and fern, warriors weave a blanket of fern and bramble on the edges to shield them from the sun.

the queens and kits live in a second thicket across the camp clearing, this set of bushes are not far from the medicine den which is a large blackberry bush with a boulder den at the back for the medicine cat.

the apprentices live near the training field inside of a fallen log. there is a pebbly area next to the log where they usually eat. the training area being a grassy mossy open area where mentors take them to practice fighting and hunting.

Leaf-bare:

the leaf-bare camp is within the gorge, it gets much more sun and is usually warmer in the winter cold season, which is why its still being used at all. while the cliff edge near the end of the camp is icey, most cats stay away from it. this camp is mainly made up of hollows in the stone formed by long dried up star pools.

the warriors and leader live together in the largest cavern at the middle of the set, a meeting place for the leader to stand on is just above that den entrance and it's large and flat, overlooking the camp.

the elders live in the leftmost set inside the rock, having a dark dry cave. while the queens live in the right set, these dens are much more padded than others to keep out the cold.

the medicine den is in a pile of rubble, cracks are filled with moss and grass as the ice tends to force rocks to move around every year. these rocks are near the left cave den where the cliff stand has started to erode and collapse.

the apprentices live in bushes near the right cave den, the trees are thicker and come close to the camp at that side and make a good place for training when the leaves fall.
