  1.  Mothsrun and the kit
Mothsrun was in the gorge exploring the new territory that lined the deep running river. that was until he smelled something, it was faint but it almost smelled like another cat. couscous he approached the scent, not remembering sending anyone else this direction this morning. he reached a ridge overlooking a rocky short beach below, closer to the surface of the river. slumped in the gravel of the beach was a lump of wet grey fur. confused by the sight he hopped down across the rocky ledge to the beach and slowly approached the lump. prodding it with a paw until it started to move, making him bristle and leap away from it. it flopped onto its side with a choked mew. he relaxed seeing that the lump was only a kit. sniffing it some he started to lick it. the kit was freezing cold and seemed to be alone. he wasn't one to just leave a child like this even if it was a stranger to him. it didn't take long for the kit to start shivering and mewling. he gently gripped its scruff seeing it start to liven and took it back to camp, being careful scaling the walls of the gorge. he put the kit in the medicine den, speaking shortly with the medicine cat and sitting close by to watch until he was asked to curl up and warm the kit. he settled into the nest, licking the kit some more. he stayed close with his paws tucked underneath himself into a loaf. it wasn't until midday the next day before the kit woke finally. he greeted them with a soft nudge. the kit looked up at him and bristled fearfully, giving a tiny growl. he smiled, amused by the tough little kit.
"now-now, I'm mothsrun, no enemy of yours young one." he gave a faint purr.
"who are you? where am I?" she hissed, not relaxing at all and falling out of the nest, fumbling around on the ground.
"you're in my home, the tribe of the gorge welcomes you." he booped her rear gently nudging her back onto all fours.
"whats a tribe?" she perked up in curiosity.
he chuckled, amusing the kit all afternoon telling her stories of the tribe.
the two stayed together for another day before the medicine cat let them her leave on her own. though she stayed close to mothsrun. bristling at any new cats at first, but she quickly warmed up to them.
